Ms. Alvarez graduated from Simmons College with a major Spanish, and a minor in Business Management. This is her first year at KIPP Lynn.

Anna Breen
Principal - KIPP Academy Lynn
Ms. Breen grew up in Connecticut and graduated from Wellesley College. She taught for two years in Washington Heights through TFA and then moved on to KIPP Bronx where she taught for five years. She moved to Massachusetts in 2004 to help found KIPP Lynn as a 5th grade Math Teacher.

Michael Brown
Assistant Principal - KIPP Academy Lynn
Mr. Brown is a native of Irvington, NJ. He graduated from Hampton University, and later from Boston College with a Master of Educational Administration. Prior to assuming the role of Assistant Principal, Mr. Brown had also served as an 8th grade History Teacher and the Director of Multicultural & Community Affairs at KIPP Lynn.

Hugo Carvajal
Director of Community Programs - KIPP Academy Lynn and Lynn Collegiate
Mr. Carvajal grew up in Bogotá, Colombia and moved to the U.S. when he was 16. He graduated from San Martín University with a B.A. in Finance and International Relations, and from Northeastern University with an M.A. in Political Science. He is in his 7th year with KIPP MA and has taught technology electives and had an advisory at KIPP Lynn for the last four years.

Rafael DeLeon
Technology Assistant - KIPP Academy Lynn and Lynn Collegiate
Mr. DeLeon grew up in the Dominican Republic and moved here about two and a half years ago. He is currently studying Computer Science at North Shore Community College. He came to KIPP Lynn through the Adult Education Program, where he took ESL classes.

Mr. Jones grew up in Nassawadox, VA. He graduated from Virginia Tech and is in his 12th year of teaching. He was a member of the founding staff at KAL and is now in his 8th year at KIPP Lynn.

Ms. McCreedy grew up in New York. She graduated from Connecticut College with a B.A., and Emerson College with a MS in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She is in her eighth year as a speech-language pathologist and her seventh year with KIPP Lynn.

Ms. Stead grew up in Portland, ME and graduated from Tulane University in 2003. She has been teaching for nine years, first in the 9th ward in New Orleans for two years, and at KIPP Lynn for seven.
